As per the American Heart Association, Black women are at a heightened risk for heart disease compared to their counterparts. This reality necessitates a proactive approach to heart health.

The Release the Pressure initiative provides an essential platform for Black women that promotes heart health through education, resources, and community support. With the alarming statistic from the CDC indicating that nearly 80% of Black adults with high blood pressure are unaware of it, the coalition's mission to empower through information is both timely and necessary.
